Lukas Eichinger won his first ever hillclimb - not by winning one, but by dominating both the 125 and 250 classes. Both of his 250 rides were of the top five fastest of the night, with his fastest time being a 2.583. Not a bad way to earn a first ever victory.
I just got an email saying that the Dickeyville hillclimb scheduled for Sunday, May 18th, 2008 is cancelled. Take a look at these pictures and you’ll see why . . .

King of the Hill from the Red Wing Hillclimb on May 4th, 2008. Jay Sallstrom won, but not without a little controversy. Ryan Stevermer looked to have a faster ride but was unable to trip the top light. Props to everyone who made it in the 80 open.
It was one of those hills that nobody wants to ride up until it gets worn in. Finally, somebody on a four-wheeler stepped up to the plate and rode up. A few more guys joined in, and before I knew it I was in line waiting to go.
